• Caregiver Connections — Connection codes and linked caregiver/patient relationships.
• Device Information — Device type and operating system for notification delivery.
• App Usage Data — Adherence statistics and analytics to provide insights.

🎯 How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and maintain the Mediminder app and its features
• Send medication reminder notifications at your scheduled times
• Track and display your medication adherence history and analytics
• Enable caregiver connections so caregivers can view patient medications
• Send alerts for low stock, expiring, or expired medications
• Allow you to manage and update your profile and preferences
• Improve app functionality and user experience

🔒 Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a trusted cloud database provider. All data is:

• Encrypted in transit — All communication between the app and our servers uses HTTPS/TLS encryption.
• Stored persistently — Your medication records and history are retained so you can access them over time.
• Access controlled — Only you (and caregivers you explicitly connect with) can access your data.

While we take reasonable steps to protect your data, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

🤝 Sharing Your Information

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties.

Your data may be shared only in the following limited circumstances:

• Caregivers you connect with — If you share your QR code with a caregiver, they can view your medications and adherence status.
• Service providers — We use Supabase as our backend infrastructure provider. They process data solely to provide us with database and authentication services.
• Legal requirements — We may disclose data if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of users.

📸 Camera & Permissions

Mediminder requests the following device permissions:

• Camera — Used only to scan QR codes when connecting with a caregiver or patient. We do not store or upload camera images.
• Notifications — Used to send medication reminder alerts at your scheduled times.
• Photo Library — Used only if you choose to upload a profile photo.

You can revoke these permissions at any time through your device settings.

👶 Children's Privacy

Mediminder is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

⚖️ Your Rights & Data Deletion

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data stored in the app
• Update or correct your information through the Profile settings
• Delete your account and all associated data at any time
• Disconnect caregivers to revoke their access to your data

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.

Continued use of Mediminder after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
